Maltitol Project Introduction
Maltitol uses commercial starch as a raw material. The commercial starch was sent to a dissolving tank for dissolving purposes. The slurry mixing tank maintains the appropriate DS value, PH value, and enzyme amount of starch milk. Then the slurry is sent to the automatic liquefaction system. Then the syrup is sent to the saccharification system after carrying the enzyme for a certain amount of time. By controlling the amount of enzyme and saccharification time, the DE or DX value required by the final product is reached, and the maltose enters the filtration stage to remove the less protein and other impurities mixed in the product. After filtration, the liquid maltose goes through decoloring, filtering, and a continuous ion exchange system to remove the colored impurities and impurity ions of the maltose so that the maltose can achieve the purpose of refining and purification. After being concentrated by an evaporator, it enters the high-pressure hydrogenation reactor for a hydrogenation reaction. After the reaction, a small amount of catalyst mixed in the maltitol solution is filtered for reuse. Decolorization, filtration, and continuous ion exchange systems remove the impurities and other ions. After this process, the maltitol solution achieves the purpose of refining and purification. Then evaporation uses to concentrate the maltitol. After evaporation, the qualified maltitol is produced.
