Sugar Cane Project Introduction

Sugar cane crushing and iron removal: Using a breaking machine, the sugar cane material is beaten and flattened after being torn into filaments and sheets by a tearing machine. The material must pass through the iron remover to eliminate any impurities that may have been introduced during the pretreatment of the sugarcane in order for it to continue on to the next step.


Squeezing: Squeezing the juice from the sugar cane using a squeezer will produce sugar. During the pressing process, a particular volume of water is added to dilute and extract additional sugar. After being removed from the press, the mixed sugar liquid was screened using a roller sieve before being poured into a container for sugar liquid.


Heating, neutralization and precipitation: Through heating, the blended sugar creates a certain condensation, sterilizing, and defoaming action in the non-sugar component. In order to adsorb an anion and provide a decolorizing effect, lime milk was treated with phosphoric acid before reacting to produce calcium phosphate. As the mixed sugar absorbs SO2 in the flow-fumigator, a significant amount of CaSO3 precipitate is created for further adsorption. new precipitation is brought on by the subsequent heating. The subsequent procedure uses the produced sugar.


Evaporation & crystallization: A specified concentration of sugar can be obtained from evaporating clean sugar before it enters the system's sugar crystallization section to create mixed crystal precipitation.


Separation: By using a centrifuge, the sugar crystal and molasses are separated from one another. In order to produce more cane sugar, the molasses is added back to the crystallizer.


Cleaning and dissolving: After adding water to dissolve the crystals of cane sugar, the process moves on to refining.


Filtration & Refinery: To fulfil the syrup's goals of decalcification, decolorization, and desalting, the contaminants are first filtered out by the filter, and then through the ion exchange system for further refinement and purification.


Crystallization & separation: Cane sugar crystals combined with mother liquor are created after the crystallisation of refined sugar. The mother liquid is separated using high-speed centrifugation, and the clean, wet crystal is then added to the subsequent drying step.


Drying: After centrifugation separation, the wet crystal's relatively high moisture content means that it must be dried and cooled in order to produce the cane sugar crystal that is final product.
